When it comes to weddings, there’s no one-size-fits-all approach – each couple has their own unique vision for their big day. For some, it’s all about the party and making sure their guests have a great time. For others, it’s a more intimate affair focused on family and close friends. And then there are couples like Vivian and Mike, who wanted their wedding to be a true reflection of who they are as a couple – modern, fun-loving and with a strong emphasis on family. Vivian and Mike had contacted us the month the pandemic hit us in 2020. Like many of our couples this year, their wedding was a long time coming!

Viv and Mike were married on a beautiful sunny day in Melbourne. They chose to have two tea ceremonies before the main event as is traditional in their heritage. It is a way to show respect and appeciation for their families, with their adorable fur babies joining in the celebrations too. A sunny ceremony and reception followed at Leonda By The Yarra, with a heartfelt ceremony full of laughs and happy tears. Rather than writing letters to each other before their vows, they chose to write letters to their parents instead- to thank them and honour them. It was clear to see that Viv and Mike are loved dearly by their families and friends. The day perfectly reflected their two personalities and their relationship.
