Congratulations on your engagement!
Your wedding is all about you and your partner. As your photographers, we are here to do our best to ensure a stress-free and easy going experience, from initial planning through to designing your unique bespoke album. We can help you work out a preliminary timeline that fits your photography needs and how you envision the day unfolding. Every wedding is unique!
We will document your special day candidly, but we aren't afraid to round up family and friends for group photos. There are so many factors that should be taken into account when you're planning your day- photography is just one part of it!
HOW DOES IT ALL WORK?
No two weddings are the same, so we always want to get to know what you’re after first.
At most weddings, we end up spending more time with our couples than their friends and family! More importantly, your wedding is all about you, which means it’s crucial that you like us as people. For us at Folkstone, love stories are natural, raw, and personal. The key to capturing this is that you feel totally comfortable with us following you around for majority of the day. This is why we definitely want to meet you as a first step. Booking your first meeting with us is easy through our online booking system.
We’d be thrilled to catch up for a coffee, or meet via a video call, where we will have an opportunity to get to know each other and you can ask us anything about the process. We can provide guidance on choosing your vendors, organising timings for the day, or planning an engagement shoot, especially if you’re a little camera shy. (Aren’t we all?)
Finally, when you are sure we’re the right fit for you, we just need a $800 deposit to secure your date. We consult with you all the way up to your wedding day, and send you some favourites within 48 hours of the day so you can share them on social media. Your final gallery will be provided in full resolution without any watermarks, ready to print, and we’ll put together the highlights you can share with family and friends.
We are happy to tailor a special package if you have a shorter or more intimate ceremony. Every wedding captured by Folkstone will have two main photographers. For weddings that are longer or have a film package add-on, we will also bring along an assistant. After the wedding, we don’t outsource our processing, which allows us to keep our consistent artistic finish for each and every wedding. You can be confident that your wedding photos will fit right into our portfolio!
Engagement Shoots
Engagement shoots are the perfect way to get comfortable before your big day. It is an opportunity to get familiar with how to pose and to work on feeling comfortable and intimate in front of our cameras.
The photos from your engagement shoot is perfect for displaying more of your love story at your reception. Our couples have used their photos for invitations, framed prints, guestbooks, and slideshows on their wedding day. Have a look at some examples here.

Albums & Prints
Our bespoke wedding albums are hand-bound and printed locally in Melbourne. Every aspect of the album is designed to suit the style of your wedding in a stress-free consultation process. Albums start from $1100. See here for more information.
We can organise photo and canvas printing of your favourite images, printed on museum-grade archival paper and fade-resistant canvas, framed in Australian timber.
